Controlling Torque Ripple Vibration in a Single-Phase PFC Using the Neutral Point of an IPMSM

This paper proposes a method to reduce the torque ripple vibration of an integrated power factor correction (PFC) converter by using zero-phase inductance interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) when is not running. When PFC applied electric vehicle (EV) chargers, it necessary oscillation caused charging current. In IPMSM, current and magnetomotive force harmonics cause vibration. proposed control method, generated estimated back EMF table, phase controlled cancel it. The can be used suppress irrespective mechanical angle rotor. effectiveness experimentally verified. Using suppressed up 91.3% as compared that in case conventional method. Furthermore, 99.9% achieved under load condition 1kW.
